For those of you who have never heard of Error Smart - it’s a registry cleaner. Effectively a good registry cleaner removes unused files from your computer and frees up space on the hard drive. Included in this housecleaning - temp files go away, your URL history, cookies can be removed, download history, and unused/old entries and extensions. Error smart was acclaimed by some techs as being the best registry cleaner, which begs the question - is it really that good or is Error Smart a scam?

That’s a pretty good sign as a starting point. The trial version was very user friendly and walks you through the steps. The registry check itself takes only a few minutes and offers the user a chance to review everything that was “tagged” in case there are files you don’t want to get rid of on the list. Another “smart” feature! Mind you the test version won’t finish the entire cleaning process, but the software itself isn’t overly expensive - in fact it’s cheaper than many of the so-called leaders in this market.

The interface for Error smart is clean and crisp. It’s not difficult to navigate and you don’t end up in odd places easily. It delivers what it promises and offers other features that you may not get elsewhere including a registry backup and a program manager. Combine that with the cost effectiveness and it’s a good option.

For savvy shoppers, beware that ErrorSmart is marketed by a distributor, and seems very similar to RegClean and Error Nuker, which are likewise marketed indirectly. Some people think that these three may be the same program with different names depending on the venue. In any case, it makes sense to look to the program that’s cost effective and does more for the money. Newer computer users may, however, find the lack of instructional material about the program a little daunting. This is not a piece of software for the faint of heart non-technogeek.

In short our ErrorSmart review says, nope… ErrorSmart is not a scam, and in fact it’s a pretty good little product that effectively finds the most important errors in your system and lets you clean them out quickly and safely.
